For women who take their winter fun seriously, we’re pleased to introduce Skadia UltraDry. Developed for cold-weather endeavors, the Skadia just might be the ultimate women’s backcountry snow boot. It combines a snow-specific Venture outsole with ColdHold Compound bottom package with UltraDry waterproofing, a heat-reflecting liner, and a soft fleece collar. The result is a saber-toothed-snow-bunny of a boot: ready, willing, and able to tear into whatever fun it finds. The Skadia includes 200g of 3M Thinsulate insulation for extended comfort, an elastic lace keeper, speed lacing, a molded rubber heel kick and a gaiter D-ring. The ColdHold compound sole is a dual density rubber optimized for superior traction in cold environments. Harder, sharper lugs line the perimeter of the sole offering positive bite into snow and frozen turf while the center lugs remain pliable in cold temperature, conforming to irregularities of terrain. The UltraDry waterproofing system combines a moisture management lining with waterproof components for dry, long-lasting comfort and performance. Fit Profile: The Skadia UltraDry is built on the Perpetuum last. This last is formed on a straighter line for people with flatter feet, with a broad toe box, tailored instep, and a lower heel volume than the Arc Tempo’s medium volume. The last is stable and comfortable for going the distance, and the broad toe box is ideal for endurance activities because it allows the forefoot to expand naturally. A tailored instep locks the foot securely in place to minimize foot movement, reducing friction. The Perpetuum last works great on your feet all day, whether running, hiking, or standing.
